"Saints and Angels" is a compelling fictional account of an Animal Liberation cell that has been organized for one evening in order to free animals from the daily tortures of experimentation and other forms of cruelty. Actual interviews and animal liberation footage make this a great introduction to the ALF and the entire movement in general.

Labeled as the "#1 domestic terrorist threat" by the F.B.I. --- and freedom fighters by the animal rights community --- the Animal Liberation Front's aim is to free as many animals as possible from places of abuse.

Animal rights activist and filmmaker, Scott Cardinal, takes a look at the methods used by a clandestine ALF cell in the U.S.A. to carry out anonymous raids on university laboratories, factory farms, and puppy mills in order to place animals in safe homes where they can live free from unnecessary suffering.

"I wanted to make a film that showed animal rights activists as the non-violent action heroes that they truly are," stated Scott Cardinal, the film's producer, director and editor. "Just because they wear Army fatigues and Ski-Masks doesn't mean they're not the good guys."

save animals' lives and expose cruelty and abuse.

(en) We love our mobile phones and the selection between different models has never been bigger. But the production of phones has a dark, bloody side. The main part of minerals used to produce phones is coming from the mines in the Eastern DR Congo. The Western World is buying these so-called conflict minerals and thereby finances a civil war that, according to human rights organisations,has been the bloodiest conflict since World War II: During the last 15 years the conflict has cost the lives of more than 5 million people and 300,000 women have been raped. The war will continue as long as armed groups can finance their warfare by selling minerals.
The Documentary Blood in the Mobile shows the connection between our phones and the civil war in the Congo. Director Frank Poulsen travels to DR Congo to see the illegal mine industry with his own eyes.
He gets access to Congo s largest tin-mine, which is being controlled by different armed groups, and where children work for days in narrow mine tunnels to dig out the minerals
that end up in our phones.

A že každým zavoláním nepřímo podporujete největší válečný konflikt od doby druhé světové války, kterému za posledních patnáct let padlo za oběť pět milionů lidí? Ne, to není žert, bez vzácných minerálů, jejichž drtivá většina pochází z ilegálních dolů v této zemi, by se totiž váš mobil neobešel. Dánský režisér Frank Piasecki Poulsen své pátrání začíná na Světovém mobilním kongresu v Barceloně. Ke svému zděšení zjišťuje, že mu žádný z výrobců nemůže zaručit, že právě jeho mobily nemají s nelítostnou válkou o naleziště minerálů v Demokratické republice Kongo nic společného. Vypraví se proto na místo činu a po náročné cestě se dostává do jednoho z největších dolů v regionu v konžské Bisie. Dětská práce, prostituce nezletilých dívek, smrt zavalením a přestřelky mezi členy místních gangů jsou zde každodenní realitou. Stejně jako všudypřítomná korupce v celé Demokratické republice Kongo.

For centuries, Greece has been the proud cradle of democracy. Now you have turned Greece into a playground for lobbyists so they can test how they will make their economic Reick work, robbing the country's soverignty and supporting a dictatorship by the European Commonwealth.

You have rejected agreements, that would have saved Greece in no time, with Arab countries, Russia and China. You failed to stand up to the situation and demand the world war two money back from the Germans, that is rightfully belonging to Greece.

You have failed in every possible opportunity to protect the public citizens interests against a monstrous capitalistic economic idiology that only creates greater wealth for the wealthy, and leaving the middle and lower classes poorer and with a lesser quality of life.

You have approved and embraced the IMF austerity measures that even force you to keep buying weapons of war.

The corporate media have demonized the people's protests.

The bank executives still bathe in gold.

You gave the final blow to the economy by accepting another loan despite the overwhelming opposition of the Greek people.

Congratulations, you have earned the undivided attention of Anonymous. You are now a target in the global information and cyber war on your corrupt capitalist banking system.
