(gr) DVD ΔΕΚΕΜΒΡΙΟΣ 2008 – Η ΕΞΕΓΕΡΣΗ: Περιέχει 150 λεπτά ανέκδοτο οπτικό υλικό, μαρτυρίες και φωτογραφίες από τα γεγονότα του Δεκεμβρίου 2008.
Η δολοφονία του Αλέξη Γρηγορόπουλου ήταν η σπίθα που έβαλε φωτιά στον ελληνικό βάλτο. Τα γεγονότα που ακολούθησαν, αντίθετα με ό, τι υποστήριξαν πολλά ΜΜΕ, ήταν μια δίκαιη έκφραση οργής για την αστυνομική αυθαιρεσία, το απαρχαιωμένο και άχρηστο εκπαιδευτικό σύστημα, τη διαφθορά και την ανικανότητα της πολιτικής, καθώς και τις διευρυνόμενες κοινωνικές ανισότητες.
Το TV Χωρίς Σύνορα κατέγραψε με βίντεο, φωτογραφίες, μαρτυρίες και αναλύσεις την αυθόρμητη εξέγερση. Μέρος από το υλικό αυτό είναι σπάνιο. Άλλα κομμάτια του αποτελούν τρανταχτές αποδείξεις της αστυνομικής βίας ή κατατέθηκαν ακόμα και στη Βουλή, προκειμένου να θεμελιωθεί η σχέση της αστυνομίας με το παρακράτος.
Από αυτή την άποψη, το dvd ΔΕΚΕΜΒΡΙΟΣ 2008 – Η ΕΞΕΓΕΡΣΗ δεν έχει μόνο ιστορική αξία, αλλά είναι και πολύ επίκαιρο.

(en) DVD DECEMBER 2008 - THE REVOLT: Contains 150 minutes unpublished visual material, reports and photos from the events of December 2008.The murder of Alexis Grigoropoulos was the spark that set fire to the Greek swamp. The events that followed, contrary to what many media claimed it was a fair expression of anger on police arbitrariness, the obsolete and useless education system, corruption and incompetence of the policy and the widening social inequalities.
The TV Without Borders recorded video, photos, reports and analysis to spontaneous uprising. Part of this material is rare. Other pieces are stark evidence of police violence or even tabled in parliament in order to establish the relationship between police and the para-.
In this regard, the dvd DECEMBER 2008 - The uprising has only historical value, but it is very timely.

(sk) DVD DECEMBER 2008 - POVSTANIE: Obsahuje 150 minút nepublikovaného obrazového materiálu, správ a fotografií z akcií v decembri 2008.
Vražda Alexisa Grigoropoulosa bola iskrou, ktorá zapálila grécke močiare. Udalosti, ktoré nasledovali, na rozdiel od toho, čo tvrdili mnohé médiá, bolo to spravodlivým vyjadrením hnevu voči policajnej svojvôli, zastaranému a nepoužiteľnému vzdelávaciemu systému, korupcii a nekompetentnosti politiky a prehlbovaniu sociálnych nerovností.
Televízia bez hraníc nahrala video, fotky, správy a analýzy k spontánnemu povstaniu. Časť tohto materiálu je zriedkavá. Ostatné kúsky sú dôkazy tvrdého policajného násilia, alebo dokonca predložené parlamentu s cieľom vytvoriť vzťah medzi políciou a para-militantnými jednotkami.
V tomto ohľade, DVD DECEMBER 2008 - POVSTANIE má len historickú hodnotu, ale je veľmi aktuálne!

I will try to write greek subtitles, but it will be difficult - if it is just a compilation of videos from unofficial sources, it won't be easy to incorporate subtitles in the movie.

it would be really great it you could make a greek transcript or subtitles and translate to english (or somebody else could translate to english). It is no problem to watch it with subtitles then or make a subtitled DVD. I can do that.
I downloaded the RAR files today in order to start translating, but the 11th part refuses to be downloaded. I tried the link from other PCs, from windows and linux machines, from different connections, but part 11 gets stuck on the "processing download request" . Can you please re-upload it on any fileshare server and when you have some time?
