(en) Forrest Taft is an environmental agent who works for the Aegis Oil Company in Alaska. Aegis Oil's corrupt CEO, Michael Jennings, is the kind of person who doesn't care whether or not oil spills into the ocean or onto the land, just as long as it's making money for him. He even makes commercials that make him look like he cares about the environment. Jennings is almost finished with building his new state-of-the art oil rig: AEGIS-1. The problem is that if he doesn't finish building the rig in thirteen days, the land rights will be returned to the Eskimos and the Alaskan government. When Jennings finds out that Taft's best friend Hugh Palmer has a computer disk that contains information about defective equipment on AEGIS-1, he sends out his goons to murder Palmer. When Taft tries to interfere, Jennings tries to kill Taft. But an Eskimo woman named Masu, who introduces Taft to her father Silook, the chief of her tribe, rescues Taft. With Masu's help, Taft begins a trek through the Alaskan wilderness, heading straight for AEGIS-1 and to destroy it before it destroys all of the forest.

A tak není divu, že to občas pořádně vybuchne a z ledových hlubin vyšlehnou žhavé plameny. V úctyhodné vzdálenosti přitom nervózně přešlapují šéfové firmy a netrpělivě očekávají Forresta Tafta, specialistu na exploze naftových vrtů, pro kterého je tento druh katastrofy přesně tím jako voda pro rybu...

(en) An exploration of the intersection between religion and homosexuality in the U.S. and how the religious right has used its interpretation of the Bible to stigmatize the gay community.
We meet five Christian families, each with a gay or lesbian child. Parents talk about their marriages and church-going, their children's childhood and coming out, their reactions, and changes over time. The stories told by these nine parents and four adult children alternate with talking heads - Protestant and Jewish theologians - and with film clips of fundamentalist preachers and pundits and news clips of people in the street. They discuss scripture and biblical scholarship. A thesis of the film is that much of Christianity's homophobia represents a misreading of scripture, a denial of science, and an embrace of quack psychology. The families call for love.

(en) A tribute to graffiti art and the city where it all began. Blest, a 19-year-old graffiti writer, has just graduated from high school. With no ambition toward mainstream goals of work and family, he spends his time bombing the city with graffiti messages until he and his crew become the most wanted bombers by the corrupt NYPD Vandal Squad. He even attracts major media and gallery attention for his tags. Also part of Blest's crew are Buk 50 and his younger brother Lune, whose arrest and beating by the NYPD causes the crew to wage a full-on graffiti war against the city. As they fight with their spray cans and their tags, Blest meets a political activist, Alexandra. Soon after, Blest's relationship with Buk 50 and the crew fragments as Blest ponders his position in life.

Bez ambícií pre mejnstrímové ciele práce a rodiny, trávy svoj čas bombovaním mesta odkazmi graffiti, až kým sa on a jeho crew nestanú najhľadanejšími bombermi skorumpovanej NYPD Vandal Squad. Dokonca priťahuje pozornosť médií a galérií kvôli svojim tagom. Taktiež súčasťou Blestovej crew je Buk 50 a jeho mladší brat Lune, ktorého zadržanie a zbitie políciou NYPD dokopalo skupinu, aby viedla celoplošnú graffiťácku vojnu proti mestu. Kým bojujú svojimi sprejmi a tagmi, Blest stretáva Alexandru, politickú aktivistku. Čoskoro na to sa vzťah Blesta s Bukom 50 a jeho crew pomaly triešti, keď začína Blest premýšľať o svojom budúcom živote.

Pozývame vás priložiť na vatru odporu!
Hlasné trúby a byrokrati nadnárodných kapitalistických korporacií budú pri priležitosti Výročného stretnutia rád guvernérov Svetovej banky a Medzinárodneho menového fondu opäť prijímať rozhodnutia o živote a smrti miliárd ľudí – tentokrát 6-7 októbra 2009 v tureckom Istanbule.
Niet pochýb o tom, že pojde o ďalšie stretnutie určené poisťovaniu výhod vládnucich kapitalistov. Tu budú prediskutovávat svoje ekonomicke balíčky, svoju politiku obnovy a úsporných opatrení, ktoré do budúcnosti predstavujú len ďalšie oko nadpojené na reťaz vykorisťovania chudobných a planéty, ktorú obývame.
Argentínske, jamajské, nigerijské, kenské a dalšie skúsenosti z prvej ruky už dávno preukázali, že opatrenia SB a MMF neprinášaju nič len pravé vykorisťovanie a núdzu. MMF a SB, vedúci architekti globálneho kapitalizmu, predstavujú hlavný nástroj vytláčania chudobných z ich habitatov urbanistickou politikou výstavby pre bohatých, komercializácie a monopolizácie vodných zdrojov ich predajom medzinarodným korporáciam, obetúvania miestnych farmárov nadnárodným kapitalistickým podnikom s ich neoliberálnymi poľnohospodárskymi pravidlami, a posilňovania okov robotníkov zavádzaním novej pracovno-právnej legislatívy.
V tieto dni sa ocitneme tvárou v tvár 13000 zločincom a zrejme ešte početnejším ozbrojeným zložkám povolaným na ich ochranu. Akiste to budú dni pripomínajuce peklo na Zemi. Policajné prehliadky, kontroly dokladov, blokovanie ulíc, oplocovanie, a tak ďalej.
Vzchopme sa; ukážme my im skutočné peklo!
Nech sa im naša vatra stane nočnou morou!
Týmto vyzývame k týždňu celosvetového odporu a akcií proti MMF a SB, medzi 1.-8. októbrom. Do Istanbulu plánujeme workshopy, výstavy, premietania, diskusie a iné aktivity proti MMF a SB. Einladung zu den Widerstandsfestivitäten (1.-8. Oktober 2009)
Von 6. bis 7. Oktober 2009 werden sich in Istanbul zahlreiche Bürokrat_innen und Handelsvertreter_innen nationaler kapitalistischer Unternehmen und Staaten einfinden, um beim jährlichen Treffen von IWF (Internationaler Währungsfonds) und Weltbank Entscheidungen zu fällen, die für das Leben von Milliarden von Menschen negative Folgen mit sich ziehen werden.
Ein weiteres Gipfeltreffen, das die Zukunft von Milliarden von Menschen, die von Armut betroffen sind, und des Planeten, auf dem wir leben, entscheidend mitbestimmt, wo nichts anderes besprochen wird, als Bedingungen zur strukturellen Anpassung, Sparpakete und deren Neugestaltung; Wirtschaftspakete, die zu nichts anderem dienen, als einem weiteren Volk die Ketten der Ausbeutung anzulegen, und das darauf abzielt, den dadurch zustande kommenden finanziellen Nutzen der herrschenden Kapitalist_innenklasse zu sichern.
Die langjährige Praxis zeigt deutlich, dass die Politik von IWF und Weltbank der Bevölkerung nichts, als Armut und Ausbeutung bringt und bringen kann (a Argentinien, Jamaika, Ecuador, Nigeria, Kenia usw.). IWF und Weltbank, als die maßgeblichen Wegbereiter_innen für die Globalisierung des Kapitalismus, sind Instrumente, die allen voran dafür verantwortlich sind, dass durch soziale Umstrukturierungspolitik in den Städten (Gentrifizierung) die sozial schwache Bevölkerungsschicht aus ihren Wohn- und Lebensräumen verbannt wird, dass durch die Privatisierung von Wasser – des grundlegenden Elements des Lebens -, dieses quasi zu einer Hypothek, einem Spielball und Spekulationsobjekt von einer Handvoll Firmen wird dass durch die verfolgte Agrarpolitik lokale Produzent_innen globalen kapitalistischen Arbeitgeber_innen ausgeliefert sind und dass durch neue arbeitsrechtliche Normen weitere Völker als Arbeiter_innen ausgebeutet werden können.
13.000 dieser Verbrecher_innen und eine noch höhere Anzahl an Sicherheitskräften, die zum Schutz jener im Einsatz sind, werden sich in dieser Zeit unter uns befinden. Höchstwahrscheinlich werden sie diese Tage für uns zum Albtraum machen! Mit Durchsuchungen, Identitätskontrollen, Straßensperren, Barrikaden usw. wird gerechnet.
Sei dabei, wenn wir alle gemeinsam mit unseren Festivitäten ihr Zusammentreffen zum Albtraum machen!
Wir wollen für die Zeit von 1. bis 8. Oktober 2009 verschiedene Kundgebungen, Diskussionen, Filmvorführungen, Ausstellungen, Workshops und Konzerte gegen IWF und Weltbank organisieren. Für die Unterkunft von Teilnehmer_innen aus anderen Ländern und Städten wird gesorgt. МВФ и СБ, които са водещите архитекти на глобализма и капитализма, са основните отговорни фактори за пропъждането на бедните хора от жилищата им и окупирането на жизнено важни ресурси като водата и земята от няколко компании, за заключването на дребните производители към глобални корпоративни собственици в нови производствени вериги.

Les représentants, des compagnies capitalistes multinationaux et des bureaucrates seront a Istanbul le 6-7 octobre 2009 pour la réunion annuaire de FMI (Fonds Monétaire International) et de la Banque Mondiale ou ils prendront des décisions et assombriront les vies des millions.
Encore un sommet fait par les capitalistes dominant pour protéger leurs intérets; des paquets économiques qui ne serviront qu'ajouter une maille a la chaine d'exploitations pour des billions de pauvres et pour le futur de la planete. Des conditions d'accords structuraux, des décisions politiques pour serré la ceinture et de nouveaux structuralisations vont etre discutées.
Toutes les expériences vécues, comme l'Argentine, Jamaique, Équateur etc. nous ont montré que les politiques de FMI et de la Banque Mondiale sont des dispositifs coupables des politiques d'embourgeoisements et d'expulsions des pauvres de leurs habitats, la privatisation des sources d'eaux qui sont essentiel pour notre existence, des politiques d'agricultures qui condamnent les producteurs locales a des patrons capitalistes mondiaux.
13.000 voleurs et des agents de la force publique qui auront reçu l'ordre pour les protéger seront parmi nous. Probablement ils tourneront nos jours en enfer; les contrôles d'identité, les blocages des rues etc.

Αντιπρόσωποι και γραφειοκράτες των πολυεθνικών καπιταλιστικών εταιρειών θα είναι στην Ιστανμπούλ στις 6 και 7 του Οκτώβρη για την ετήσια συνάντηση της Παγκόσμιας Τράπεζας και του Διεθνούς Νομισματικού Ταμείου, όπου θα πάρουν αποφάσεις για να μαυρίσουν τις ζωές δισεκατομμυρίων ανθρώπων. Οι εμπειρίες της αληθινής ζωής έχουν αποδείξει ότι η πολιτική που εφαρμόζει η Παγκόσμια Τράπεζα και το ΔΝΤ δεν έχει κανένα άλλο όφελος παρά τη λιτότητα και την ένδεια και μόνο (Αργεντινή, Τζαμάικα, Νιγηρία, Κένυα κτλ). Το ΔΝΤ και η Παγκόσμια Τράπεζα ,που είναι οι κύριοι αρχιτέκτονες της παγκοσμιοποίησης και του καπιταλισμού, είναι τα βασικά υπεύθυνα όργανα για την εξορία των φτωχών ανθρώπων από τις πατρίδες τους και τις κατοικίες τους μέσω της βίαιης αστικοποίησης, έχοντας υποθηκευμένο το νερό- το οποίο είναι η βασική ανάγκη για τη ζωή- από λίγες εταιρείες, παγιδεύοντας τους τοπικούς παραγωγούς στους παγκόσμιους καπιταλιστικούς πατρόνες μέσω των αγροτικών πολιτικών, προσθέτοντας έτσι νέους κρίκους στις αλυσίδες των εργατών από τους νέους εργασιακούς νόμους.

Siouxové ho osvobodí a zabijí většinu vojáků, ale Dunbar raději se Zaťatou pěstí kmen opouští, aby nepřivolal pomstu kavaleristů.

Even if works at Maddalena were already started, Berlusconi Government cleverly decided to exploit the “Earthquake emergency” situation, moving the whole G8 organization to a damaged area close to L’Aquila.
If “opportunities and advantages” of G8 are not so clear, what seems to be evident is the government intention of avoiding any possible protest, putting forward the emergency state to keep the population far and to attack who has decided to demonstrate against.
“Emergency state” that does not represent a problem to the Government when the population from L’Aquila protest [L’aquila – Rome], in the same way does not represent a problem subtracting 500 millions euro from L’Aquila reconstruction and to invest them in the arrangement of a “Guardia di Finanza” (Finance Police) station that will host the meeting.
To complete the picture there is the attitude of the journalists to distort the truth, that after episodes of profiteering and shallowness in the first period of the earthquake, in these days are spreading false information about the meeting aim at diffusing alarmism and confusion [Il Giornale / Abruzzo24ore / Il Manifesto].
In spite of cynicism and government manipulations, this G8 will be marked by protests and initiative both in Aquila and in the whole Italian territory.

(en) In a land of beauty, wonder and danger, she would follow a dream, fall in love and risk her life to save the mountain gorillas from extinction.
A Kentucky woman, Dian Fossey, is inspired by an anthropologist Louis Leakey to devote her life to the study of primates. Travelling into deepest Africa, Fossey becomes fascinated with the lives and habits of the rare mountain gorillas of the Rwandan jungle. She becomes so preoccupied with her vocation that she loses the opportunity of a romance with National Geographic photographer Bob Campbell.
Appalled by the poaching of the gorillas for their skins, hands, and heads, Fossey complains to the Rwandan government, which dismisses her, claiming that poaching is the only means by which some of the Rwandan natives can themselves survive. She rejects this, and dedicates herself to saving the African Mountain gorilla from illegal poaching and likely extinction. To this end she forms and leads numerous anti-poaching patrols, and even burns down the poachers' villages and stages a mock execution of one of the offenders. Fossey is mysteriously murdered on December 26, 1985, in the bedroom of her cabin.
