Jak co roku, 11 listopada nacjonaliści i neofaszyści z różnych organizacji planują przemarsz ulicami Warszawy. Nie chcemy, by zwolennicy ksenofobicznych i rasistowskich ideologii, którzy z dumą odwołują się do przedwojennych organizacji o jawnie faszystowskich sympatiach, znowu przeszli przez stolicę. Pomni wcześniejszych doświadczeń uważamy, że rosnącemu w siłę ruchowi narodowemu trzeba się przeciwstawić. Od dwóch lat próbujemy ich marsz zablokować. Zatrzymamy go tylko wtedy, gdy będzie nas dużo.

Jesteśmy grupą różnych ludzi i środowisk. Łączy nas sprzeciw wobec faszyzmu. Planujemy demonstrację na trasie faszystowskiego pochodu. Chcemy fizycznie go zablokować. Wykorzystamy przysługujące nam prawa obywatelskie. Zapraszamy wszystkich mieszkańców Warszawy i wszystkich, którzy zechcą przyjechać do Warszawy, do czynnego sprzeciwu wobec faszystów. Liczymy na Wasz udział w przygotowaniach, na przyjazd w zaproponowanym przez nas miejscu i czasie, na przygotowanie transparentów, na poinformowanie znajomych o naszych działaniach. As every year on November 11, nationalists and neo-fascists from various organizations are planning a march through the streets of Warsaw. We do not want the supporters of xenophobic and racist ideology, who proudly refer to the pre-war organizations of openly fascist sympathies, to again pass through the capital. Remembering the past, we believe that the growing national movement must be opposed. For two years now, we have been trying to block this march. We will stop it only if there will be many of us.

We are a group of different people and organizations. We share an idea of resistance against fascism. We are planning a demonstration on the route of the fascist march. We want to physically block it. We will use our civil rights. We invite all residents of Warsaw and all who want to come to Warsaw, to take part in active opposition to the fascists. We look forward to your participation in the preparations, to your arrival to Warsaw on time and at the place proposed by us. We hope you to prepare banners and inform friends about our activities. We count on your presence.

(en) THE SOLOMON ISLANDS, PART 2 - Ric and Lincoln O'Barry's mission to the Solomon Islands continues and is fully launched on two fronts. First, they must confirm the true intentions of dolphin dealer-turned apparent reformer, Chris Porter. Secondly, they make inroads with the indigenous people still involved in dolphin hunting. The summit meeting between Ric and Porter is a tense affair complete with accusations and recriminations, but there are no conclusive results. In the end, Porter breaks down during a confrontation with one of the team members. He has dolphins to free, and he wants Ric to help him. On the other front, Ric's delicate negotiations with the dolphin hunting villages are nearly derailed when a letter signed by several chiefs and parliament members is made public. The letter contains a clear warning that Ric, Lincoln and their entire team should stay away from the island of Malaita. Soon, however, Ric and Lincoln are told the letter is a hoax. They proceed to the island and finally enter into an agreement with one of the villages to stop hunting dolphins. It is a rare, tangible victory in the fight to save dolphins.

(en) AMSTERDAM – More than 100 people protesting the outlawing of squatting at unused buildings in the Netherlands clashed with police in Amsterdam's historic center late Friday, throwing stones, setting fires and erecting barricades.
Police said early Saturday that 11 protestors were arrested, and two police, three police horses and an unknown number of demonstrators suffered minor injuries. Local television station AT5 broadcast footage of police with betons battling squatters in narrow streets and allies, with the protestors throwing rocks and setting off fireworks.
AT5 published a photo of one young woman with a mohawk haircut being escorted away by a police officer while bleeding from a head wound.
Squatting is the latest pillar of the country's liberal institutions — such as legal prostitution and cafes that openly sell marijuana — to be abolished or curtailed as the Dutch become more conservative and rethink the boundaries of their famed tolerance.
In Amsterdam, the epicenter of the movement known in Dutch as "kraken," or "breaking," several hundred squatters had demonstrated peacefully during the day against the new law that makes their way of life punishable by up to one year in prison.
By nightfall, some began throwing rocks at police and overturning cars. Police attempted to disperse large groups on two streets by carrying out charges.
By mid-evening an A P eyewitness saw squatters using metal fences and piles of bicycles to block one of the city's bridges amid a haze of tear gas. An AP photographer saw police using bulldozers and water cannons in an attempt to clear the streets lining the city's ancient canals of such barricades and to quench fires set in piles of rubbish.
"Of course we're going to resist: resisting is part of what we do," said a young English-speaking woman at a "squat," or occupied building, next to the Amstel River, ahead of Friday's protest. She identified herself only as Lilo.
Most squatters decline to give their full names both for philosophical reasons and to avoid trouble with police or immigration authorities.
A study published this year by Amsterdam's Free University estimated the number of squatters at roughly 1,500 in the Dutch capital, a city of 750,000. Amsterdam Mayor Eberhard van der Laan says he plans to gradually empty the city's remaining 200 squats.

Call for an International Night of Action Against Capitalism on October 8, 2010.

The street is a space that we create together, a space that has become fragmented by private property and the flow of capital. Because the flow of capital needs this space to function, this is the ground on which it is most vulnerable. The idea of real public space has been robbed from the people. This space needs to be defended and united against the forces of oppression and capitalist concepts of production. We assert that this space must be retaken! It is ours to take, we are the public, and this is public space. When we ask “whose streets?” it is most important that we answer for ourselves “our streets!” because they are ours to define, and we, not the police, set the stage for them to function.

On the night of October 8th the International Monetary Fund and World Bank delegates will be in Washington DC meeting with their corporate cronies. On this night they will be wining and dining in some of the most lavish hotels in the world, planning how to facilitate the enclosure and sale of the worlds streets to the highest bidder. It is in the streets that we propose this be challenged. The IMF Resistance Network is calling for an international night of action against capitalism to reclaim our streets and our lives. From the streets of DC to streets around the world we will assert that all streets belong to the people. The time for negotiation has ended, all our pleas have fallen on deaf ears. It has become clear that we cannot ask trade ministers and capitalists to not function as trade ministers and capitalists. This is not about dialogue, this is a fight to retake our lives, and this is a fight that tolerates no compromise.

On October 8th we will begin to retake our streets and our lives. The time to ask is over, we need to retake our spaces, to reclaim our streets, to assert that we are the ones that create this space, and our creation will not be sold out from under us.
